Am I really required to print an instruction page with a coloring page? Everyone knows what to do with a coloring page. I have an Instant Ink subscription - requiring me to print a worthless instruction page is like stealing from my monthly page allowance. More details below...
I recently bought a new HP Envy web-connected printer. I was really excited to have a web connected printer that I can easily print recipes and other things from my smartphone or tablet. When I bought the printer, I decided to sign up for the HP Instant ink. I thought that since we don't print very much, we could sign up for the minimum package, save a bit of money on ink, and never worry about running out. Great!
The problem came when I hooked up my new printer and decided to print a coloring page for my daughter. The coloring page came out - and so did an instruction page. The instruction page had one step - print out the picture and color it. Really? If I'm buying my own cartridges, this seems like a minor annoyance and somewhat wasteful, but something that I can overlook. But now I'm paying by the page. And I'm required to print out a worthless instruction page which counts against my monthly page count. My 50 page plan has now been reduced to 25 useful/wanted pages.
I want to support HP products and services, but I really feel like I'm getting ripped off. I'm seriously considering cancelling the Instant Ink before my free trial runs out.
