Tracking down stolen HP Deskjet 3510

Hi,

My office was broken into and among the stolen things was a fairly new (4-6 months) HP Deskjet 3510 printer with ePrint enabled. The following may be silly questions, but the police are largely useless over here so I have been trying to figure out ways to track my stuff. Basically, in a desperate attempt to do so, I sent an e-mail to my printer (despite seeing that it is currently offline) with a doc saying in big letters that this printer is stolen, the police have been notified and please contact this number.

None of the accompanying documents/setup cd were taken, so I assume that if someone connects this printer to a new wireless network, they will follow the path of least resistance and do it through WPS, following the instructions on the small screen. Would this type of setup initially reconnect the printer to the old e-mail? I first set it up at home and then moved it to the office but I can't remember if I had to reconnect it to the ePrint account when I moved it to a different network. If the account is active, would my file still be in the queue in a couple of days/weeks or do I have to send it when I know it is connected or send it every day, etc?

And finally, I have all the relevant documentation, serial number, MAC address, invoices, etc. If the ePrint account is gone, can I at least send this info somewhere, so when someone tries to connect this printer to a new account there'd be a red flag or they'd be told they cannot be issued a claim code for it (small consolation)?

This may sound like an overkill for a printer of this price range, but we are a small family business and they took most of the electronic equipment, setting us back almost a year. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
