My LAN name is Linksys, yes I know, not very original but it worked like a charm until ios 7. Now my iPad connects to the printer instead of the router by default when it goes to sleep. When it wakes up connected to the printer, If not reset, the the internet connection will be made via cellular -which is rather slow... And my cue to go to ipad settings and reconnect with the linksys router so I can actually use the aN to get to the internet.
So the question is ... Is there a setting in the printer setup that will allow me to print via airprint but not allow the ipad to connect otherwise ? If I were to hardwire the printer to the lAN, will Airprint see the printer over the LAN ? I do have a spare hub and a cable so getting the printer on the LAN would be easy enough...
Anyone seen this issue before ?
