Asus MeMo pad 302c can't eprint. 'Eprint not working'

I have a new Asus 302c tablet and I have downloaded the eprint app but when I 'share' to the app to print something I get a message that says 'eprint has stopped working' I can only print if I 'share' to email and then email whatever it is I want to print to the printer's email address. I have no problem with printing direct from my ipad or my Android phone without having to go through email first. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with the compatibility between the Asus tablet and my HP eprint printer ?
