With my HP PhotoSmart 7520, it seems so many options are available. For just a simple home office, which should I concentrate on? This was made more difficult due to what I feel are issues that should be fixed.

Repeated error messages indicated out of paper when it was full of 8-1/2 x 11 sheets. After opening, checking, turns out printing photos can be done ONLY on 4x6 paper in that tray. Whether .png or other photo extensions or a menu choice of photos, it assumes I want quality photos. Sometimes, just a rough draft on copy paper is more than adequate. As if not bad enough, it really threw me a curve that even then it ejects a blank 4x6 "photo" first, then issues the "out of paper" message; trying a second time often works!? Choosing two prints does a no/yes/no/yes scenario; if no 4x6 paper, then it's no/no/no/no! I believe this was with the ePrint program, whether with the PC or tablet wirelessly. Frankly, with hours of desperation, I don't know where things were coming from. In times past, I had no problem printing from within the PC for 4-4x6 on a standard sheet our other configurations easily.

In spite of it all, what it does well I really like. Soon, I'm getting a land-line so I can use its FAX capability. We have Verizon's HPC (home phone connect), which has some advantages. FAXing isn't one of them! I realize that is old technology. But as I get older, more health issues often mandate the need for it increasingly. Years ago I used WinFax software with some success. HP will hopefully be more-easily accessed and shouldn't need costly software upgrades frequently.
