my c5180 will print in color but not black and white

I can't print in black and white with my HP Photosmart C5180 all in one. I put in a new cartage and it still only print in color without black ink. I've tried all the buttons in HP Print and Scan Doctorbut I don't know what it is that I should like at. So I can't tell if it fixed it or not. Should any of them have black in it. I've tried uninstall and reinstall the drivers that did not work. When I use HP solution center I used the “align the print head” the box form left to right blue, red, and yellow all are light in color and the four is brown. Can anyone help
