hp quick forms won't print

I just purchased a officejet 8600. works perfect. I'm playing around with the apps section and under the HP Quick Forms app there is a option to print graph paper. Cool! Oops, it won't print that? it askes for # of copies, I can enter anything from 1-8 and it just will not print anything. When I hit the print buttom, it just '0's' out the quantity. It printed a calendar, just not any games or lined paper or graphs etc. 

what am I missing?
