Scan-to-Network Setup Wizard on Officejet 8500 A909 fails to connect to printer--Error 12029

When I start the Wizard, it gives me the message that it "cannot perform the http send test.  Error:  12029."  I did as it suggested and unplugged the printer for a long time and plugged it back in.  I then uninstalled and re-installed the driver and device, and it still comes up with the message.  It otherwise shows that the printer is connected, and I can print from it.  Any suggestions?
