While setting up the printer I made it through all the steps to include connecting to the wireless internet and an error message comes on the screen stating  - The printer was unable to install the printer update because it is not on the network.  To complete the update, connect the printer to the network wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable .  

The only options on the screen are Ethernet or Wireless, there are not other selections.  The wireless light is lit in blue.  This is my second printer, the first gave the same error message and I was sent a replacement only to have the same problems.  

Have they come up with a fix for this issue?  Also note the Neat hard drive is not recognized but if I connect the hard drive to the computer the folder opens up.

I have had this printer for about a month, I bought it specifically for the Neat program, but I cannot do anything but print from my phone or computer wirelessly,  due to the error message on the screen.

I have followed the instructions and i connected the HP wireless to the printer but when i come to print im using google cloud print but it wont find the printer and everything id turned on any clues im lost know with it lol many thanks

All functions of my all-in-one were working just fine. I was able to scan, copy, print and use efax. All of a sudden, for no apparent reason, my efax stopped working. It sends me a message that there is no network connection but everything else says that the printer is connected to the network. I can print wirelessly from my computer or my phone. All diagnostic test reports show that it is connected to my network. Please help!

How do I set up the printer to Wireless, 2-sided printing when printing a report from various web sites and emails? Also, once the printer "goes to sleep", do I have to set up the printer settings all over again. I had it working yesterday, but I was on my Windows PC. Today, I was only able to print one page from a bank account, then not another one from a different account.

I use the ePrint option of e-mailing pages to be printed as my iPad doesn't have the option of Airprint. However, two prints received the following error message. I don't need high quality, and I'm quite sure the resolution will print out sufficient for my needs. How do I force the printer to print my jpg files, irrespective of size?

Software: Microsoft Word 2003, SP3

Hardware: Dell desktop

OS: Win7 "Home" 64-bit

Printer: hp 4620 all-in-one

 

Note: "Print page" and other wireless functions from ePrint diagnostics tool work fine. 

 

Problem: Unsable to print doc from Microsoft Word.

 

Popup error msg:

"Unable to communicate with printer.

"The print job could not be completed because the printer is unavailable or not connected. Check your cable or wireless connection, and make sure the printer is powered on and ready."

 

This problem can occur right after I have just sent a test print page from the ePrint diagnostics tool.

"#hId-pgWebServicesSetup."

 

Summary:

hp's ePrint diagnostic tool works fine, including test page.

Printing from Microsoft Word gets error msg.

 

NOTE:

The same Word doc file prints fine with hp 8100, in same room, using same wireless ePrint network, as described above with hp 4620.

Previous posted problem solved with firmware update. I can't find it now to cancel it. Sorry.

Attention, forum supervisor. I posted a problem just an hour ago or two,

"Unable to communicate with printer."  Now I can't find it to cancel the request.

I am using HP OfficeJet 6500A wired to my network.  Works great.  It is also set up and works with ePrint through the email address.

Now I'm trying to get my iPad and iPhone to print via Air Print but they will not find the printer.  All products are up to date.

 

1) Does the printer have to be in wireless mode to direct connect to the Apple products instead of through the router and not through the wired connection?

 

2) It seems this 6500A does not have any woreless capability when I unplug the ethernet cable even though the guide and websites say it is supposed to have wireless capability.  No Option on the network setup menu to turn on or off wireless.

Have installed wireless cards on multiple HP LaserJet 600 M601 printers.  

 

Printing works, but when my Android device lists the printers available, all the printer names are the same.  It seems to be pulling the Product Name from the printer.  So, I don't know which printer I am actually printing to.

 

This is not an issue on an Apple device - maybe it pulls the Device Name insead?

 

How can I resolve this little issue before rolling out to by customers on the network?

Suddenly  my Envy 4502 has started printing both sides of paper which I do not want. I can't seem to find how to turn this off. Any help gratefully received thanks.

I recently purchased a new HP printer and I have forgotten my password for eprincenter.  I get the email with the link to reset my password but when I click on it I get this message.

 

SERVER ERROR

Oops! Something just went wrong with our server.

Try refreshing the page.

 

Refreshing does not work and this has been quite a few days now.  I would like to be able to enter my new printer code.  Can you please help?

I finally was able to connect the pringer and scanner on my HP L7590 all in one, but the fax does not work. I plugged the phone wire but it does not transmit either way, When I tried to fax I get a Failed Connection message.  The printout says A communication error occured during the fax transmission. i do not knos hos to find out the phone  numbef of the party who sent a failed fax to me.

Hi all.

 

When I scan-to-email a document the receiver get  the email with eprintcenter@hp.com as sender.

I'd like to customize the sender and the body of the message.

 

Is it possible with scan-to-email app?
